XC celebrates season opener

The Men's and Women's teams had their season opener at the Foothills Invitational in Oxford, AL on August 30, 2024. Both teams ran 5,000 meters. On the Men's side, there were a total of 19 competing teams and Southern Union finished 13^th overall. Out of those 19 competing teams, 7 teams were in our conference, where they placed 5th.  Our current school record holder, Braden Ball, was the 1^st person amongst Southern Union's team to cross the line and broke his previous record with a new PB (personal best) time of 17:08.25. Out of the 8 runners who competed, there were 6 freshmen men. The future looks really bright for Southern Union! Go Bison!
